General Plan

The General Plan represents the most direct expression of local priorities, setting forth the community's vision for the future of Greenfield and the means to accomplish that vision.

The City of Greenfield is required by State law to prepare a General Plan which addresses 7 required topics including:
  • Circulation
  • Conservation
  • Housing
  • Land use
  • Noise
  • Open Space
  • Safety
In addition, the City has also chosen to add additional elements which include growth management, economic development, and recreation. This document, adopted May 31, 2005, will guide planning and development within the City until the year 2025.
