Administrative Citation Penalty Amnesty Program

Administrative citation penalty

Administrative Citation Penalty Amnesty Program (ACPAP)

To collect overdue fines from administrative citations issued by the City of Greenfield, the City Council has approved (at the City Council meeting of November 21, 2017) the establishment of an amnesty program that forgives the payment of late fees and accrued interest.

The Administrative Citation Penalty Amnesty Program (ACPAP) will allow all who have received administrative citations (for civil violations like animal control, disturbing the peace, various parking violations, etc.) and have not paid them within the statutory 30-day limit from the date of issuance, to avoid paying late fees and interest on the citation amount.

For a limited time, from December 1, 2017 through January 31, 2018, anyone who pays their citation will have any overdue penalties and interest forgiven.

Any overdue administrative citation fines that remain unpaid at the end of the amnesty period will be subject to the following:

(1) the accrual of late payment penalties (20% of citation amount),

(2) accrued interest (calculated from the due date of the original citation),

(3) collection agency actions, as well as any other legal remedies available to the City,

(4) the fees associated with any collection agency actions or any other legal remedy available to the City.

For a limited time only

 December 1, 2017 through January 31, 2018

pay the amount due on your overdue administrative citation and the City will forgive all late payment penalties and accrued interest.
