Utility Billing Division prides itself on providing excellent customer
service to our residents. Each month the City sends 3,600 utility bills
for Water, Sewer and Garbage Service. Customers have the option to pay
online; via telephone and in person. The City accepts cash, checks as
well as credit cards for payment. Residents are able to connect or
disconnect water service; change their garbage services, etc. at City
Hall, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Utility bills for
water, sewer and garbage services are prepared and sent out on or near
the last working day of each month. The bills are due and payable upon
receipt, and become delinquent on the 26th day of each month. (If the
26th falls on a weekend, the bill is delinquent the following business
day.) A 10% penalty charge is assessed on all delinquent bills. Water
service is disconnected if the bill has not been paid by the 45th day
after the billing date. A disconnect fee ($75 as of October 2014) is
assessed if your water service is disconnected due to nonpayment.
Customers are responsible for monthly payments on their accounts. If
your utility bill is not received in the mail, please contact the City
at 831-674-5591 to obtain a copy and provide payment. If you move, you
must come to city hall to have your service discounted. You are
responsible for the account from the day you receive service to the day
you request disconnection.
A service deposit of is required before water, sewer or garbage service begins. This is based on 4 months of Utility Service for:

Service deposit refunds are calculated and prepared by the 2nd week of each month following service disconnection and mailed to any forwarding address provided to the City, or to the mailing address on record. Service Deposits are also refunded prior to disconnection after 12 months of timely payments, if you are a homeowner, and after 24 months of timely payments, if you are a renter.
